# Limits and parameters This article lists all the default limits and parameters of the Glass Data platform. If you reach any of these limits, contact us and we will evaluate exceptions on a case-by-case basis. ## Retention ### Original data Original payment and transaction data is retained for 1 year. This data can be queried through the [Explore](/en/admin/explore/) screen. | Entity | Retention | | :----------- | :-------- | | Payments | 1 year | | Transactions | 1 year | ### Metrics and alerts Metrics and their respective alerts are retained depending on the aggregation interval: | Interval | Retention | | :--------- | :-------- | | 1 minute | 7 days | | 5 minutes | 30 days | | 1 hour | 6 months | | 1 day | 1 year | | 7 days | 5 years | ## Monitoring Metric monitoring is performed using their recent history according to the aggregation interval. To ensure better results, the analysis is performed only when the minimum number of points present in the period is reached. | Interval | Lookback period | Minimum number of points | | :--------- | :-------------- | :----------------------- | | 1 minute | 4 hours | 60 points (25%) | | 5 minutes | 4 hours | 12 points (25%) | | 1 hour | 4 days | 24 points (25%) | | 1 day | 4 months | 7 points (5.7%) | | 7 days | 4 years | 4 points (1.9%) | For example, a monitor every 1 minute will run the monitoring analysis only when there is existing data in 25% (60 points) of the last 4 hours (240 points) of a metric. ## Alerts Open alerts can be closed automatically by normalization or expiration. In addition, new alerts temporarily interrupt machine learning to prevent them from being incorporated prematurely into the predictive models. | Interval | Normalization | Expiration | Learning pause | | :--------- | :------------ | :--------- | :------------- | | 1 minute | 3 points | 5 hours | 2.5 hours | | 5 minutes | 3 points | 10 hours | 6 hours | | 1 hour | 2 points | 24 hours | 12 hours | | 1 day | 1 point | 4 days | 3 days | | 7 days | 1 point | 28 days | 3 weeks | ## Rules and lists | Limit | Maximum quantity | | :------------------------------------------ | :--------------- | | Rules per account | 30 | | Conditions per rule | 30 | | Lists used per condition | 3 | | Lists used per rule across all conditions | 30 | | Characters per expression | 1024 | | Items per list | 10,000 | ## Export Exporting records on the **Explore** screen has the following limitations: | Limit | Maximum quantity | | :--------------------------------------------- | :--------------- | | Records per export | 10,000,000 | | Records exported per day across all exports | 10,000,000 | Exports are available for download in the admin panel for 7 days. ## Metadata | Limit | Maximum quantity | | :-------------------------- | :--------------- | | Metadata per entity | 10 | | Cardinality per metafield | 10,000 | Cardinality means the number of different values in a metafield. The platform will not prevent registering values above the maximum cardinality, but metrics may ignore less frequent dimensions.
