Users
The Users area lists the people with access to the account and the access profile assigned to each one. Access is account-specific — a user must be invited to each account they should operate in.
Invite a user
Under Settings > Users > New user:
- Provide the person’s name and email.
- Select the desired access profile (see Access profiles).
- Click Invite.
The platform sends an invitation email with instructions to set up a password. The user only gains access after accepting the invitation.
If the email is already registered in another Glass Data account, the invitation links the existing user to the current account without requiring a new password.
Access profiles
Each user has one access profile per account, defining the set of allowed actions:
| Access profile | Description |
|---|---|
Administration (admin) | Full access: can create, edit, and remove users, rules, lists, integrations, notifications, API keys, and other configurations. |
Read-only (read_only) | Read-only access: can view all resources but cannot create, edit, or remove. |
The access profile is set on the invitation and can be changed later under Settings > Users, in the menu of the desired person.
Edit and remove
- To change a user’s access profile, open Settings > Users and click ⋮ > Edit on the desired row.
- To revoke access, use ⋮ > Remove. Removal is specific to the current account; the user keeps access to other accounts they were invited to.
- You cannot remove your own access. Ask another user with the administration profile to perform the operation.
