Tracking alerts

An open tracking metric is monitored like any other. The split between the two configurations is:

• Count: defined on the metric, by the tracking scope (open for more than 2 days);
• Alert: defined on the monitor, by the condition (Open count > 50).

A condition over Open time alone is sensitive to isolated cases: a single slow entity keeps the measure high and the alert stays open. Combining the scope on the metric with a condition over the count restricts the alert to collective behavior.
